Whether you're getting married abroad, conducting international business, applying for dual citizenship, or enrolling in a foreign university—we help ensure your paperwork is properly certified for legal use in other countries.

We assist with:

  • Birth & marriage certificates
  • Powers of attorney
  • Diplomas & transcripts
  • Corporate and business records
  • FBI background checks (federal-level)

Our service eliminates confusion by guiding you through the correct process based on your destination country and the type of document—whether it requires an apostille or multi-step authentication.

🌍 Hague vs. Non-Hague Countries – What’s the Difference?

Hague Countries:
If your document is being sent to a country that is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, we’ll help you obtain a single apostille certificate through the Ohio Secretary of State (for state-issued documents) or the U.S. Department of State (for federal documents). This apostille is accepted internationally as proof of authenticity.

Non-Hague Countries:
If the destination country is not part of the Hague Convention, your document must go through a multi-step authentication process. This may involve:

  • State-level certification
  • U.S. Department of State authentication
  • Legalization at the destination country's consulate or embassy

We’ll handle the steps and keep you updated every step of the way—saving you time, frustration, and costly errors.

Apostille vs. Authentication – What you need to know

Please reach us at hello@tymelessnotaryservices.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

An Apostille is used when your destination country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention. It’s a one-step certification process recognized among over 100 countries, including Mexico, France, Italy, India, and Australia.

If the destination country is not a member of the Hague Convention, you will need a multi-step authentication process, often referred to as document legalization. This may involve:

  • Certification by your state (e.g., Ohio Secretary of State)
  • Authentication by the U.S. Department of State (for federal-level documents)
  • Legalization by the destination country’s embassy or consulate

We can facilitate apostilles for most public records, business documents, academic records, and federal background checks. We’ll confirm your document is eligible when you contact us.

No. You must provide an original or a certified copy issued by the appropriate authority. We’ll let you know what's acceptable based on the document and its destination country.

Standard turnaround is 7–14 business days, but expedited service may be available. Federal documents and embassy legalizations may take longer depending on processing times and country requirements.
